Then it’s best to investigate the following tips below:

  1. Check the model number, specifications, and the make to see if it’s the same content inside the box. Also check the name of the box and the content are uniform. I have had the experience of buying an AT&T phone in a thrift store and I rushed out of the store without checking the content of the box. It took me years to realize that the content was a V Tech phone. I have learned to be patient to double check the item before leaving. Patience = Pays.
  2. Check to see if the item is working properly. Test to see if the plugs are present with the device or not. Make sure to go a plug outlet in the store and see if it’s working. It’s best to ask the store associate for where this is done. I also believe to try and see if its working for at least 10 minutes.
  3. If you have a video/DVDs/games, watch it the start, middle and the end to see if it still plays without any hiccups.
  4. If you have calculators to purchase. Check the battery closet at the back. You would want to turn on and off the device at least 5minutes. Make sure that batteries are not leaky or stuck inside the battery closet. This saves you the trouble of having to returning it back. It saves you time, space, and cost and that is a HUGE saving deal.
  5. Also ask the store their return policy. Some items you can see obvious that they are not good for resell, but some defects are hidden. Immediately when you get home, double check all items purchased and get it all listed according to your listing schedule.

  6. Check the Electronic Description: There maybe few details such as scratches and marks which are identified and listed for the buyer to see.

  7. Ask questions on the electronic items: You will want to check if the product comes with its vital accessories like plugs, USB cables, headsets.
